Today we will talk about the main training programs in the field Multi-Cloud: vRealize Operations.

VMware vRealize Operations


vRealize Operations deliver a unified management platform to optimize, plan, and scale hybrid cloud deployments from applications to infrastructure, powered by AI/ML, as a service.

The main current training programs for VMware vRealize Operations technologies are:

● VMware vRealize Operations: Install, Configure, Manage [V8.6]

  • Duration: 5 days.
  • Level of difficulty: Intermediate (L300).
  • Target audience:
    • Experienced system administrators and system integrators;
    • Consultants responsible for designing, implementing, and customizing vRealize Operations.
  • Prerequisites: Before taking this course, you must complete at least one the following:
    • VMware vSphere: Install, Configure, Manage
    • 6 months hands-on vRealize Operations experience.

This five-day, hands-on training course provides you with the knowledge and skills to deploy a VMware vRealize Operations cluster that meets the monitoring requirements of your environment. This course includes advanced capabilities such as customizing alerts, views, reports, and dashboards and explains the architecture in vRealize Operations. This course explains application monitoring, certificates, capacity and cost concepts, and workload optimization with real-world use cases. This course covers troubleshooting using the workbench, alerts, and redefined dashboards and describes how to manage compliance and configurations. This course also covers several management packs.

● VMware vRealize Operations: Advanced Use Cases [V8.x]

  • Duration: 2 days.
  • Level of difficulty: Advanced (L400+).
  • Target audience: Experienced system administrators and consultants, application owners, and system architects.
  • Prerequisites: You should also have hands-on experience administering vSphere 6.x/7.x deployments.

This two-day hands-on training course provides advanced knowledge, skills, and tools to achieve competency in operating VMware vRealize Operations 8.X. This course explains the design and creation of advanced dashboards, capacity concepts, and the REST API with real-world use cases.

● Troubleshooting VMware vRealize Operations [V8.x]

  • Duration: 2 days.
  • Level of difficulty: Advanced (L400+).
  • Target audience: System administrators tasked with maintaining a vRealize Operations cluster.
  • Prerequisites: This class requires system administration experience with vRealize Operations deployments or completion of the following course:
    • VMware vRealize Operations: Install, Configure, Manage [V8.2].

This two-day course gives VMware vRealize Operations administrators the skills to perform basic troubleshooting tasks. The course also gives administrators the skills to ensure that their vRealize Operations instance meets its use-case objectives of continuous performance optimization, app-aware intelligent remediation, and integrated compliance.

The hands-on training provides an overview of the tools and processes available to ensure a vRealize Operations deployment is running in a healthy state.

● VMware vRealize Operations for Operators [V8.6]

  • Duration: 2 days.
  • Level of difficulty: Intermediate (L300).
  • Target audience: vRealize Operations on-premises customers including operators and system administrators.
  • Prerequisites: Before taking this course, you must complete at least one of the following:
    • VMware vSphere: Install, Configure, Manage [V7];
    • 6 months hands-on vRealize Operations experience.

This two-day course is for users who are responsible for day-to-day management of VMware vRealize Operations. This course explains policies, capacity concepts, and workload optimization with real-world use cases. This course covers application monitoring, troubleshooting using workbench, alerts, predefined dashboards, and explains how to manage compliance and configurations.

Note: If you have taken the VMware vRealize Operations: Install, Configure, Manage course, duplicate content makes this course unsuitable for you.
